This Preventive Controls for Human Food blended eLearning course provides everything you need to meet FSMA requirements and become a “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual. Our course combines the benefits of a self-paced eLearning environment with a live virtual instructor led session to ensure you walk away with a comprehensive and complete understanding of the new FSMA requirements. The final deadline for companies of all sizes to comply with this requirement was September 17, 2018.

Part 2, the virtual instructor-led portion of the course, is an 8-hour live interactive reinforcement of the eLearning curriculum that occurs once per month. During this session, you will take a closer look at a Food Safety Plan to ensure you’re prepared to write or update your own plan to satisfy the new Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCQI) requirements. The live session is directed by an FSPCA lead instructor from the Alchemy Professional Services team. The opportunity to register for this session becomes available upon completion of the eLearning section of your course.

How long do I have to complete the course?
Users have access to the course content for 6 months after beginning the course. During this period, the user may start and stop at their leisure. Users who fail to complete the e-learning course in the time available will not be eligible for a refund.
Is this course approved by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA)?
Yes. Alchemy, the largest food safety training company in the world, offers the only 100% online course to become a PCQI.
Am I required to take this course?
FSMA regulations require that key food company personnel in charge of managing the Food Safety Plan be Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals (PCQI) – at least one person is required to be a PCQI at each site (we recommend at least two people per site).
If I successfully complete this course, will I become a certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals (PCQI)?
Yes. People who complete this course will become certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals (PCQI). This meets the FSMA requirement for food company personnel in charge of managing the Food Safety Plan to be PCQI.
